Whilst reporting to the Centre Manager, the Child carer is responsible to work closely with all the members of staff to ensure the smooth running of the childcare centre

ABOUT THE APPLICANT

• A minimum Level 4 qualification in child care (applicants in the final stages of the qualification shall also be considered)
• A certification in Paediatric First Aid
• A certification in Food Handling
• Good communication skills in Maltese and English
• Recent police conduct

General Duties

• Communicates effectively with team member and using a range of communication modes.
• Manage appropriate styles of communicating with children according to their age
• Monitor the development of children’s communication skills
• Follow policies and procedure when undertaking the child personal hygiene activities
• Follow and observe all the centre policies and procedure
• Creating interesting and age-appropriate activities.
• Keeping cleaning material stocks up to date;
• Any other related duties as directed by the Centre Manager.

• Part-Time or Full-Time

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Ability to work calmly and effectively with the kids
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and proactive
• Result-oriented and a highly determined individual
• A great sense of work ethic and dedicated to contributing towards the overall success of the company’s vision
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues
• Must be highly organised with a strong attention to details
• Have a good command of speaking and writing skills in English
